To better understand cancer epidemiology and outcomes in Botswana, a middle income country in sub-Saharan Africa with high rates of HIV infection.

Several publications have resulted from the Botswana Prospective Cohort addressing issues from delays in diagnosis and treatment initiation, to outcomes of women with cervical cancer.

The information gathered from this study can be used to design interventions and policies to improve access to cancer care in Botswana and/or modify current cancer care practices. The ultimate goal is to improve cancer outcomes.
