Through this proposed research we intend to search for novel, possibly emergent and zoonotic influenza A, coronaviruses, and adenoviruses that may be associated with intense animal exposure. This proposal aims to include a total of up 1000 patients with acute influenza-like-illness in prospective surveillance at three medical care sites in Mauritania.
